This is the official website of Notton Parish Council. The Council has an obligation to publish details of Council meetings and related budget and spend information. This is now available via this website.
More information is available in the History section, but Notton has an entry in the Doomsday Book of 1086 and records show that there were around 25 inhabitants at that time living in 5 households. Today, Notton has around 400 households. The village is in the ecclesiastic Parish of Royston and comes within Wakefield Metropolitan District.
The Parish Council has 6 members (5 Councillors and a Parish Council Clerk) who, amongst other things, are responsible for the Village Green, the playground at the Village Hall and the allotments.
